SKORICH, Mike
Mike Skorich was born on July 1st 1921 to Iso & Evica Effie Skorich in Duluth, Minnesota.
Mr. Skorich was inducted into the U.S. Army on June 26th 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. He was assigned to the 1st US Infantry Division.
He served as a supply and truck driver with the First Infantry Division in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. He rose to the rank of Technician Fifth Grade (TEC5)
TEC5 Skorich was discharged on October 16th 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
Mr. Skorich died on January 3rd 2019 at the age of 97 years. He is buried at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Saginaw, Minnesota near Duluth.
