Mike Ochis of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on May 30, 1942.
He was a Technician 4th Grade and an auto parts clerk with the 2014th Ordnance Company in Sicily, Rome-Arno and Naples-Foggia in the Italian campaign and the Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Ochis received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Oct. 21, 1945.
