Michael A. Podpeskar

Michael A. Podpeskar of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Aug. 27, 1941.

He was a Technician 5th Grade and a truck driver with Company C, 289th Infantry Regiment, serving in northern France, the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Podpeskar received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, American Campaign Service Medal, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas servicebBars.

He was discharged on Nov. 1, 1945.
