Michael J. Yapuncich

Michael J. Yapuncich entered the Army on July 17, 1942.  He served as a Staff Sergeant in artillery with Headquarters of the 80th Infantry Division. 

He was honorably discharged on June 10, 1945, at Frankenbach, Germany, to accept a temporary commission as a Second Lieutenant and reconnaissance survey officer with the 106th Infantry Division Artillery in Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, and World War II Victory Medal.

Mr, Yapuncich was relieved from active duty on March 17, 1946, at Camp Beale, California.
