Merton L. Hirt

Merton L. Hirt was inducted into the Army June 29, 1943, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and telephone-telegraph cable splicer with the Service Command Unit in the continental United States.

Mr. Hirt was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged September 16, 1945 at Fort Mac Arthur, California.
