QUITBERG, Melvin Dwayne
Melvin Dwayne Quitberg was born on May 21st 1924 to Alfred Ole & Christine [Lee} Quitberg in Holst, Minnesota.
Mr. Quitberg of Kelly Lake, Minnesota enlisted in the Navy on January 15, 1944.
He was a Machinist's Mate 3rd Class (MoMM3/c) and served on a motor torpedo boat, USS VMTB-13, USS LST-1034, USS AGP-9 and with LST Group 80.
Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Quitberg was discharged on May 18th 1946. After the war he returned home and married Bernice Elaine [Johnson] and they started a family.
Mr. Quitberg died on February 12th 1975 in Hibbing, Minnesota at the age of 48 years old. He is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
