TRANBY, Melvin Clarence

Melvin Clarence Tranby was born on October 3rd 1924 in Winger Minnesota to Carl & Hannah Tranby.

Around 1940, Mr. Tranby moved to Duluth, Minnesota and worked for Marshall Welles Company of Duluth.

He registered for the Army on December 23rd 1942 and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He earned the Bronze Star Medal for his service.

After the war he married Delores Ramberg on February 26th 1950 and started a family. 

He died on December 16th 2010 at Elk Grove Village, Illinois at 86 years of age. He is buried at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
