NOSAN, Matthew Eugene
Matthew Eugene Nosan was born on February 14th 1921 to Franc & Agnes [Žnideršič] Nosan in Kitzville, Minnesota.
Mr. Nosan enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve on July 15th 1942 during WWII.
He was a rifleman and a field artillery crewman in the Pacific serving in Tarawa, Saipan, and Tinian. He rose to the rank of Private First Class (PFC).
PFC Nosan earned the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with 2 bronze battle stars and the World War II Victory Medal for his service.
He was honorably discharged on November 13th 1945.
