Matt R. Peterson

Matt R. Peterson of Gilbert, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on May 30, 1942.

He was a Private First Class and a pioneer with Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 322nd Infantry Regiment in the Western Pacific.

Mr.Peterson received the: Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas ervice bars.

He was discharged on Aug. 26, 1945.
