Marvin O. Brenna
Mr. Brenna entered the Army Air Corps on June 15, 1942.
He served as a Staff Sergeant and ball turret gunner on B-17 Flying Fortress with the 339th Squadron of the 96th Bomb Group and Eighth Air Force based in England. Flew 25 bombing missions in Frankfurt and Stuttgart, Germany and Poland.
He received the following: Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters (representing four subsequent awards).
He returned to the U.S. aboard the liner Queen Elizabeth.
Mr. Brenna was honorably discharged in September 1945.
