Marshall Allen Peterson of Duluth, Minnesota enlisted in the Navy on June 24, 1940.
He was an Aviation Chief Metalsmith on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger and with Airship Squadron 21, Blimp Hedron 2, Blimp Hedron 2 Det. 23 and CASU 22 in the Atlantic and European Theaters in South America and North Africa.
Mr. Peterson received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was discharged on Jan. 30, 1946.
