Marcus D. Geary of Hibbing, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on December 13, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class in the Antitank Company of the 354th Infantry Regiment in Northern France and Rhineland.
Mr. Geary was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged December 29, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
