Lynn C. Peterson

Lynn C. Peterson entered the Army Air Corps on October 27, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Private and airplane and engine mechanic with the 15th Mobile Repair and Replacement Squadron in the Air Offensive Europe, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

Mr. Peterson was awarded the following: Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with six bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on September 29, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
