URBAN, Lyle Willard
Lyle Willard Urban was born on September 12th 1922 to August and Lydia Urban in Blue Earth, Minnesota; Watonwan County.
He enlisted in the Army on May 9th 1946, at Fort Snelling Minnesota.
Mr. Urban served as a Sergeant and truck driver with the Hiroshima Military Government Team.
He was awarded the following:
- World War II Victory Medal, -and-
- the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).
SGT Urban was honorably discharged on October 18th 1947, at Fort Lawton, Washington.
After the war, Mr. Urban married Carol Jean Frisvold and raised a family. Lyle died on December 26th 1989 near Aurora, Minnesota.
