Lucas Policka of Duluth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on April 12, 1942.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and a cook with Company F, 127th Infantry Regiment, serving in the New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago and the Philippines.
Mr. Policka received the: Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with four bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with a bronze star, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Oct. 16, 1945.
