Lowell G. Johnson

Lowell G. Johnson of Eveleth was inducted into the Army on April 25, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Technician 4th Grade with the 589th Signal Depot Company in Naples-Foggia and Rome Arno, Italy.

Mr. Johnson received the: Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Service Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on September 26, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
