Louis Ivanca was inducted into the Army January 17, 1941.
He served as a Technician 5th grade and transportation NCO with Company F of the 395th Infantry Regiment in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.
Mr. Ivanca was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one silver battle star (for five bronze stars), World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged October 5, 1945, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
