Veteran's account: "I called the principal at Denfeld High School in 2000 and told him I wanted to do 'Pomp and Circumstance.' He asked me, 'Didn't you do that in 1945?' I answered, 'No, I was on a ship in China in 1945.' So he said he'd see what he could do. Two days later, I got a call back. 'I have five World War II veterans that are going to graduate this year,' he said. "So I received two diplomas, one for 1945 and one for 2000."
