Mr. Angelo inducted into the Army on August 26, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.
He served as a Private First Class and ammunition handler with Cannon Company of the 126th Infantry Regiment in New Guinea, the liberation of Southern Philippines, and Luzon.
He received the following: Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Arrowhead, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and five overseas service bars.
Mr. Angelo was honorably discharged on November 9, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
