Leonard J. Latvala, of Brimson, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on July 6, 1942.
He was a Corporal and an ambulance driver with Company C in the 320th Medical Battalion in Northern France and Rhineland. He was wounded in action on November 12, 1944 in the European Theater of Operations.
He received the: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged on January 7, 1948 at Fitzsimmons Army General Hospital, Denver, Colo.
