Leonard E. Hill of Chisholm, Minnesota, enlisted in the Army Air Corps on February 9, 1944 at Amarillo, Tex.
He served as a Corporal, airplane electrical mechanic, and gunner on a B-29 Super Fortress bomber with the 234th Army Air Forces Base Unit in Hawaii and the Pacific Theater.
In the spring of 1946 he transferred B-29 bombers back to U.S. for storage in Utah.
Mr. Hill was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged June 27, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, Ill.
