Leonard B. Sobanja served in World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He joined the U.S. Army from January 26, 1945, until November 25, 1946. He was assigned to the 67th Chemical Smoke Generator Company (Camouflage), which served in the Philippines.
He was discharged on November 25, 1946.
Mr. Sobanja’s rank was Corporal.
He was born in Hinsdale, Illinois, to Bernhard and Elsie Sobanja. Mr. Sobanja attended Lane Technical School and graduated in 1943.
