Leo R. Lampton of Soudan was inducted into the Army on April 16, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Private First Class and a medical technician with the Medical Detachment, 87th Mountain Infantry in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, North Apennines and Po Valley, Italy.
Mr. Lampton received the: Combat Medical Badge, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on September 29, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
