Leno J. Gherardi

Leon J. Gherardi was inducted into the Army Air Corps September 8, 1942, Fort Snelling, Minn. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minn.

He served as a Sergeant and clerk-typist with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron of the Eighth Fighter Command in the European Theater.

Mr. Gherardi was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged January 29, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisc.
