Lennart J. Sandstrom

Lennart J. Sandstrom entered the Army Air Corps on July 14, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Eveleth, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal and oxygen acetylene plant operator with the 944th Air Engineer Squadron in Rome-Arno, Italy.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on November 16, 1945 at Camp Grant, Illinois.
