Lee McKenzie A.R. 3C, a Cook, Minnesota native and son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry McKenzie, served in the Pacific as a radioman and gunner in the Navy’s “Bulldog Squadron,” a Liberator search plane unit.
His plane made several successful combat strikes, including attacks against enemy-held shore installations. His plane, in one day, shot down three large enemy transports southwest of Palau.
