Lauri J. Maki

Lauri J. Maki of Aurora was inducted into the Army on Sept. 20, 1943.

He was a Private First Class and a fire fighter with Detachment Engineer Section, Alaska Department, Pacific Theater.

He was awarded the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on Oct. 1, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
