Lauri H. Salmi

Lauri H. Salmi entered the Army on October 9, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Forth Grade and baker with the 73rd Station Hospital in Tunisia, North Africa and Rome-Arno, Italy.

He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.

Mr. Salmi was honorably discharged on October 12, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
