Lauretta Eno of Biwabik, Minn, served in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps from December 3, 1938 until July 24, 1945.
She served as an operating and emergency room nurse at Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack and received some of the first casualties there.
She served as Chief Nurse with the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade on the USS Solace hospital ship.
She was assigned to escort Eleanor Roosevelt on one of her South Pacific tours.
