Knute G. Nystrom of Aurora, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on September 26, 1942.

Mr. Nystrom received the: Bronze Star Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with six bronze battle stars and bronze service arrowhead, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was discharged on October 11, 1945.
