Kenneth Wayne Rusk served in World War II.

Mr. Rusk was born in 1917 in Holcomb, Wisconsin, the son of Chase and Vina Rusk. He graduated from high school in 1938.
His official Army separation papers describe his job at Geiger Field:
“Was responsible for the inspection and necessary repairs of all small arms on the field. Worked on pistols, rifles, shotguns, 30 and 50 caliber machine guns. Supervised 3 assistants in inspecting, disassembling, minor repair, defective unit replacements, assembly and adjustments. Did some local fabrication of unavailable parts using drill press, milling machine and lathe. Kept records of inspections and maintenance. Performed test firing of all repaired weapons.”
