Corporal Kenneth A. Swanson, son of Knute Swanson, began service in the Army stationed at Camp Campbell, KY.
He was serving in the Marianas before being hospitalized for three months at Borden General Hospital in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
It was there that Swanson was honorably discharged and sent home to Cook, Minnesota.
