Kenneth R. Fredrickson was inducted into the Army July 13, 1943, Fort Snelling, Minn. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minn.
He served as a Sergeant and mortar gunner with Company B of the 842nd Engineer Aviation Battalion in Northern Solomon Islands and Iwo, Jima.
Mr. Fredrickson was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars
He was honorably discharged January 15, 1946, Camp McCoy, Wis.
