Kenneth H. Johnson of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on August 28, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Private First Class and a glider mechanic with the 2532nd Army Air Forces Base Unit in the southern Philippines.
Mr. Johnson was awarded the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on December 7, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
