He served as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate in the continental U.S. and aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bogue (CVE 9) in the Atlantic and aboard the battle cruiser USS Alaska (CB 1) in the Pacific. Trained on USS Paducah, Great Lakes, Illinois.
Mr. Thomson was honorably discharged on December 15, 1945.
