Keith L. Sy

Keith L. Sy was inducted into the Army on October 28, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.  Home at entry: Parkville, Minnesota. 

He served as a Private First Class with the Headquarters Coast Artillery Battalion of the 410th Infantry Regiment of the 30th Infantry Division in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.  He was wounded in action on August 10, 1944, in the European Theater.

Mr. Sy was awarded with the following: Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster for second award, Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on September 29, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
