Julius E. Erving was inducted into the Army on June 13, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private and locomotive fireman with the Quartermaster Corps.

He was assigned to the Supply Detachment and Section One of the Service Command Unit in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Erving was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.

He was honorably discharged on Oct. 26, 1945 at Camp Blanding, Fla.
