MERSBERGER, Joseph Walter
Joseph Walter Mersberger was born on June 17th 1919 to Lawrence Jacob & Katherine [Hoffmann] Mersberger in Sheboygen, Wisconsin. He graduated from Sheboygen High School.
Mr. Mersberger enlisted in the U. S. Army on November 19th 1942. He was assigned to the U.S. Army US Medical Corp. based in Texas during WWII.
During R&R he married LT Vieno Sophia Mary Koski on November 19 1943 in Temple, Texas. She served in the Army Nurses Corp. He was honorably discharged on August 1st 1944 and afteward they started a family
Mr. Mersberger died on May 4th 1988 at 76 years of age in Fulton, Georgia. He is buried at Arlington Cemetery in Wahington DC.
