Joseph W. Buchanan

Mr. Buchanan entered the Navy on April 3, 1942.

He served as a Yeoman Third Class. Served on several shore stations in the continental U.S. and aboard the destroyer USS Paul Jones and USS LCI (Landing Craft Infantry) 61.

He received the following: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star, and World War II Victory Medal.

Mr. Buchanan was separated in Bremerton, Washington.
