Joseph S. Mesojedec of McKinley was inducted into the Army on May 30, 1942.

Mr. Mesojedec received the: Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with four bronze battle stars and bronze service arrowhead, American Campaign Service Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Dec. 8, 1945.
