Joseph S. Deloia entered the Army in December 1942.
He was a technical sergeant and was an instructor in the K-9 Corps in the Continental United States training tactical war dogs and personnel for all armed services until he entered Officer Candidate School in June 1944.
He was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina, the port of embarkation of the Transportation Corps as a warehouse officer.
He was discharged on Oct. 26, 1945.
