Joseph R. Hochevar

Joseph R. Hochevar was inducted into the Army March 30, 1943, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Aurora, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and armorer with Troop C of the 23rd Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Ardennes. He was wounded in action on March 18, 1945.

Mr. Hochevar was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged October 25, 1945, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
