TERCH, Joseph Eugene
Joseph Eugene Terch was born October 13th 1908 to in Rib Lake, Wisconsin.
Mr. Terch was inducted into the Army on February 25th 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.
Mr. Terch served as a Master Sergeant with the 506th Engineer Light Pontoon Company in New Guinea, Southern Philippines (Liberation), and Luzon.
He was awarded the following:
- Good Conduct Medal,
- Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars,
- World War II Victory Medal,
- two overseas service bars, -and-
- Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars.
Mr. Terch was honorably discharged on April 16th 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
After the war, Mr. Terch married Olga L Cerquettini on April 12th 1947
He died on January 18th 1995 in Virginia, Minnesota at the age of 86 years old.
