John W. Sporich

John W. Sporich was inducted into the Army on October 10, 1941, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Buhl, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and truck driver with Battery B of the 106th Field Artillery Battalion in the Western Pacific and Ryukyu Islands.

Mr. Sporich was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and seven overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged October 18, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
