John W. Impola of Virginia, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army Air Corps on May 30, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Private First Class in the 328th Army Air Field Base Unit in the  continental United States.

Mr. Impola was awarded the American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged October 19, 1945 Gulport AAF, Miss.
