John Robert Nynas

John Robert Nynas was inducted into the Army on September 15, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician 4th Grade with Headquarters Company of the 31st Infantry Regiment of the Seventh Infantry Division in Ryukyu Islands.

Mr. Nynas was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Japan) and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 31, 1946, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
