John Ralph Letnar of Chisholm, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on May 25, 1943.
He was a Corporal and an administrative noncommissioned officer with Company F in the 357th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division in Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was wounded in action on December 6, 1944 in the European Theater of Operations.
Mr. Letnar received the: Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on February 26, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
