John R. Knudson of Keewatin, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on August 3, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Sergeant, serving as a parachute rigger and repairman with the 1408th Army Air Forces Base Unit in France and Italy.

Mr. Knudson received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on March 7, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
