John N. Finn

John N. Finn of Duluth enlisted in the Army on Oct. 25, 1939.
He served as a Technician 5th Grade and light truck driver with Darby's Rangers (volunteer) and trained with British Commandos in Ireland and Scotland. He participated in combat in Algeria, French Morocco, Tunisia; Sicily; Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno, Italy.
Mr. Finn was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Distinguished Unit Citation with one bronze oak leaf cluster, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged on Aug. 10, 1945 at Fort Leavenworth, Kans.
