Mr. Mahovlich received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with a bronze battle star, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and three overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged Jan. 6, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
